Contently (http://www.contently.com), a venture-backed startup in New York City, is seeking an entrepreneurial sales leader to help us further our mission of redefining how creative work happens. As more and more creative professionals become freelancers, companies--which spend over 75bln on creative work annually--need a new way of connecting with and managing creative talent.
We're focusing on editorial content to start, and some of the largest brands, agencies, and media companies in the world use our platform to better manage their content programs. In order to continue growing aggressively, we're hiring an experienced sales leader who can be both a player and a coach--helping us build a world-class sales team, while simultaneously driving high-impact deals through their own network.
Own sales strategy across the organization
Oversee our sales team to maximize individual performance
Work with the executive team to establish sales goals
Work with the product team to bring to market new revenue opportunities
Take the lead on closing important deals
At least five years experience in sales and sales management
3+ years experience selling into brands and agencies (platform sales is a big plus)
Experience developing and executing sales strategies from the ground up
Competitive salary + commission + equity
