VP of Business Development

Overview
Precog is looking for a talented, ambitious, and data-driven individual to mastermind and execute on all revenue-generation opportunities derived from partnerships with other companies, with the end-goal of eventually fueling the majority of Precog's revenue through such partnerships.

We're a small but fast-growing company vying to power the next-generation of intelligent, data-driven applications across web and mobile.
Responsibilities
Revenue Generation: Research, develop, and execute on strategies designed to maximize revenue from partnerships and distribution channels. Track and report on success of strategies and utilize data-driven processes to iteratively improve on strategy development and execution.
Partnership Development: Identify, nurture, and secure strategic partnerships with companies in a variety of verticals which offer peripheral services of benefit to Precog customers (data services, data sources, business intelligence tools, etc.). Leverage partnerships to maximize exposure, develop brand recognition, and secure position of market-leadership. Utilize data-driven processes to quantify the benefit of partnerships at the individual and aggregate level, and focus on high-performing sectors.
Distribution Channels: Identify, nurture, and secure new channels of distribution for Precog technology and marketplace solutions. Utilize data-driven processes to quantify ROI for every channel and focus on high-performing sectors.
Inside Sales Support: Support developers as they evaluate Precog technology, helping developers make the business case for Precog technology to management, and influencing decision-makers at the management level. Develop and oversee processes to move inbound interest from management to technical evaluation. Work with marketing to develop separate messaging for management.
Experience
You are independent, responsible, and self-motivated, and you thrive without a lot of structure or guidance. We want someone who takes initiative, self-optimizes, and is insanely productive.
You can be trusted to do whatever it takes to get the job done, whether that's devising clever new ways to measure results, or working with legal to devise partnership agreements that afford greater benefits for Precog.
You are passionate about Precog technology and enjoy working in the highly-technical space of "intelligence-as-a-service".
You're data-driven, able to set concrete goals, devise actionable plans to achieve those goals, and then measure and report on results so you can iterate on the entire process.
You are willing to travel from time to time. You should expect to be on the road about 6 - 12 times a year.
Skills
BA or equivalent; 5 - 10 years of business development experience
Interest in technology, startup culture, and both business and customer development
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively negotiate complex business relationships
Excellent skills in business strategy development
Personable and outgoing, with a strong interest cultivating hundreds to thousands of professional and personal relationships to further Precog's agenda
Ability to collaborate and develop positive business relationships with all cross-functional areas within Precog and the Precog ecosystem
Smart-working and extremely productive
Excited about joining a small but growing team of 9 people
Willing to take on a wide variety of responsibilities
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
