User Interface Designer

Overview
HighNote is looking for a User Interface Designer to design interfaces for apps on mobile devices. As a designer, you will be working on designing across a variety of mobile platforms including iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows 7 and Nokia.

We are a venture backed startup and have recently launched our rich media messaging app on iOS and Android devices. We have been written by Techcrunch, VentrureBeat, PC World and New York Times and other top blogs. HighNote located at a walking distance from Embarcadero Bart station. Check us at www.highnote.com

This is a contract role and could convert into a full time position. Flexibility to work from home might be a possibility for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Create wireframes and sitemaps based on requirements
Design mockups and prototypes for the app or web application designs
Ability to design simple and elegant interfaces
Ability to solve complex design problems
Additional Responsibilities, not necessary but good to have
Visual design skills - designing graphic assets like buttons, icons, etc.
Usability testing on mobile apps or web applications
Previous experience in A/B Testing
Create or work off visual style guidelines
Experience
2yrs to 5yrs of experience required
Experience with Omnigraffle and Photoshop/Fireworks or similar tools
Strong portfolio in web or mobile user interface design
Startup Experience
Strong graphic and visual skills a big plus
Education
Educational background in HCI or similar field is a plus
