The product manager reports directly to the CEO of deviantART and has a major voice in shaping our products. Inform the product roadmap with new, justifiable ideas to enhance existing functionality or introduce new features in line with the objectives of the business
Gather product requirements from customers, stakeholders and management to define product specifications
Work with interface and engineering teams to create design concepts and effective implementation strategies
Facilitate communication throughout the development process between multiple internal teams including engineering, marketing, operations, advertising and legal.
Research emerging markets and competitors to ensure that deviantART is delivering cutting edge technologies
Maximize efficiency of development and interdepartmental transparency through effective documentation processes and communication
BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field (MS a plus)
Product Management or Product Design experience
Experience developing consumer facing Internet or media products and technologies.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with both executives and engineers
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Exceptional organizational and quantitative analytical skills.
Experience working in a SCRUM/Agile development environments
Experience with site optimization and using A/B multivariate testing
