Overview
Theater Connects, Inc is looking for a passionate and self-motivated web programmer to join the founding team of our NYC based tech startup, focused on the bridging the cultural and technological gap of the industry and dramatically improving the theater industry across the world. The company has a global plan to take this profession from the Stone Age to the information age.
Responsibilities
Lead the technical development of a complex web application with multiple feature set deployments. You will be starting close to ground level and are expected to contribute to the overall vision with creativity and innovation. Creating new ideas for what is possible in the execution overall vision.
Theater Connects is a network and database for the production side of the theater industry. We are dedicated to improving connection, communication and access to resources for theater on an international level: Developing new web platforms to enhance the viability, artistic satisfaction and financial stability of theater professionals in all disciplines.

Skills
Expert in PHP or RubyonRails & MySQL
(C++ and Javascript, also preferred)
5-7 years hacking experience
NY Based (or willing to relocate)
Excellent communication skills
Leadership experience and a diverse background or interest in arts, music, design, theater, dance are ideal.
(Will consider right candidate highly motivated to improve existing skill set)
