On-demand software is changing the world. More than ever, large companies are deploying systems like Salesforce.com and Google Apps instead of installing and maintaining their own on-premise applications. An Appirio Consultant will guide our customers through implementation and integration Google Apps as a replacement or augmentation of on-premise messaging systems and applications. You will gain valuable experience with cutting-edge software-as-a-service (SaaS) technologies as you help customers realize the benefits of on-demand software – no maintenance, easier configuration, higher reliability, and wider adoption.
Responsibilities
Engagement Managers will typically have ownership of 8 to 12 client relationships at any given point in time, with ultimate responsibility for successful, on time and on budget delivery of all Appirio services at that client.
Client Relationship Management:
1. Develop and maintain long term, trusted relationships with our clients
2. Escalate relationships within client to C-level executives
3. Broaden relationships within client to include multiple business and technology areas
4. Establish and drive project and customer based Steering Committees
5. Ensure long term client satisfaction and referencability
Project scoping and estimating:
1. Craft creative solutions to client business and technology problem
2. Work side by side with the sales team to develop level of effort estimate for client projects
Oversight and guidance of day to day project delivery teams:
1. Work with Services Operations team to determine optimal project staffing
2. With the Project Manager, develop high level project plans and milestones
3. Ensure project team utilizes best practices and methodologies
4. Maintain overall responsibility for scope and budget of projects, including the development and processing of change orders
5. Coordinate with Delivery Managers, providing feedback on project team
Financials:
1. Ensuring projects within client portfolio achieve targeted profitability
2. Accurately forecast revenues for assigned client group
3. Manage individual and group utilization targets
Experience
8+ years experience with delivery of consulting services or equivalent
Extensive and proven client management experience
Some sales experience writing and delivering client proposals
Skills
Proven relationship manager with experience growing and developing strong, trusted adviser relationship with customers
Confident and thoughtful personality with the ability to adapt styles to multiple types of clients
Superior time management and prioritization skills with the proven ability to multi-task with the management of 8 to 12 client relationships at any given time
Located and able to work in the U.S. and able to travel up to 60%
Able to work from a home office
Technical acumen to support teams and to advise clients in a technical environment
Driven by customer success with a team player attitude
Strong knowledge and understanding of the SaaS eco-system
Education
B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Business or equivalent

Performance Measures
Engagement Managers will be measured against the following:
* Services margin (p/l)
* Utilization (individual and team)
* Client satisfaction and referencability

Location:
This position can be based in any region in the U.S. Selected applicants must be able to work from a home office and travel up to 60%.
