Social Enterprise Software Start-up Needs Elite Front-End Ruby Engineer
Do you read Smashing Magazine and Ajaxian for fun? Have you ever attended (or dreamed of attending) an Edward Tufte talk? Does including reset.css to solve IE box model problems make you die a little inside? If so, we want to hire you!
Fusion is a social enterprise software start-up located in Downtown Berkeley (right next to the BART station) with proximity to tons of great restaurants and crazy people. We work in a fun, fast-paced and open environment where ideas and brainstorms are encouraged.
We are looking for an elite front-end ninja with a background in Ruby on Rails to focus on HTML, CSS, Javascript, ERb, UJS, JQuery and Sass. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a portfolio of interesting projects, Photoshop skills, and a working knowledge of Firebug, YSlow, and Google PageSpeed. Even more preference will be given to candidates who have done something incredible for its own sake.
We realize that the front-end is the lifeblood of our application, and we're looking for a seasoned guru to hyperfocus and obsess over our user interface and experience to further improve our product. We've been iterating fast and furious to prototype and release an alpha version of our application on time and under budget. So, we'd like to continue our quick development and deployment cycle as we progress.
You spend many of your waking hours working; we do too so we want these hours to be meaningful. This is why we are working on something we are passionate about, and we're looking for a candidate who matches our passion.
If this sounds interesting to you and you'd like to become our first full-time engineering hire send us a portfolio, resume, or preferably a link to something amazing that you've built.
