WeLike, LLC is looking for an entrepreneurial design master who's looking to take charge of incorporating design into our products from the very beginning. We're design minded, and understand the importance of making products that look and feel great.
The ideal candidate has a passion for being part of a founding team, social networking, great color palettes, beautiful UI, and a knack for implementing an excellent UX.
Our products incorporate Ruby on Rails, iPhones, and social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. You should also already love and appreciate these things.
We love telecommuting, and care more about the output of work completed than the when, where, and how of the hours that are worked. We typically communicate via IM, email, Unfuddle project management, and the telephone.
Collaborate with the President and Chief Technologist to implement core design practices, styles, and material
Optimize and improve existing designs
Suggest and implement improvements/replacements to current UI
Suggest and implement improvements to existing UX
Help build promotional websites and material for iPhone and web products
Lead and mentor other design employees or consultants as the company grows
You've helped one or more companies/projects with complete overhaul of their interface, collateral designs, and general look and feel
You've got a grasp on UX techniques and you live and breathe for making the net warmer, more useful, and more user-friendly
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (you know this in and out)
Can demonstrate building wireframes and comps
Can take generalized functionality requirements and brainstorm unique ways to implement them visually on the web
Can prototype simple HTML-based ideas and concepts
Familiarity with Xcode's Interface Builder on OS X for building iPhone applications
Optional: Ruby on Rails
A college education means you're possibly well-rounded, but in our experience, we haven't noticed that this makes a huge difference. College dropouts are encouraged if they've got great on-the-job experience and life lessons as a previous consultant, contractor, or entrepreneur history.
You will be treated as a co-founder with 10% equity.
