Overview
In this role you will design, develop, implement and support enterprise scale database applications that allow our clients and internal analysts to create rich data and analytics visualizations. You’ll be working as part of a skilled, collaborative, agile team to jointly design and implement high visibility applications. You like to be a raging success and are confident, but not cocky, in what you do every day. When you think data - you think in terabytes. You will write elegant, maintainable, robust, scalable code every day. This is an IDEAL job for an engineer who wants to be part of a small team, feels total ownership over their work, and codes like a mad scientist.

This platform is the proprietary model by which Resonate performs its online ad targeting for public affairs, political, and corporate customers. Responsibilities
Database application development – including integration of multiple data sources into a well-designed and highly performing data warehouse
Ad-hoc query support for various business units
Data warehouse and ETL design
Design of partitioning, aggregation, and replication strategies
Analyze requirements of projects and collaborate with other software engineers during the design phase.
Experience
1-5 years of IT experience and exposure to data information modeling and concepts.
Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Experience in advertising network, digital media agency, or other advertising related experience a plus.
True start-up mentality and experience with short (Agile, Scrum, Iterative) software lifecycles.
SQL, T-SQL, PL-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers
Experience with multiple RDBMS products: MS SQL Server, MySql, Oracle, or Postgres. MS SQL Server and Postgres.
Experience with designing, developing and implementing custom ETL scripts for complex and large size data applications. Experience with any of the following Informatica, Pentaho, Data Stage, Ab Initio
Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
Ability to work effectively as a team member, across project teams, and independently.
Previous experience working with in a Java/J2EE environment.
Skills
Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
You are a diligent problem solver who doesn’t sleep well at night when anomalous data is not explained.
True start-up mentality and experience with short (Agile, Scrum, Iterative) software lifecycles.
Experience in advertising network, digital media agency, or other advertising related experience a plus.
Plus: You have experience with VLDB systems, including aggregation and partitioning strategies, parallelism, and replication.
Plus: You have experience working with Postgres or Oracle.
Plus: You have experience working with SQL Server.
Plus: You have experience working with an ETL toolset, preferable Pentaho Integration.
Plus: You are a guru with SQL and stored procedures
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Statistics or Mathematical field. Strong mathematical and statistical background is a plus.
