The Tingz, Inc. Mission
Seamlessly integrating the Internet into everyday life
Tingz was one of 50 companies selected to present onstage of over 1,000 that applied for TechCrunch50, the high-profile event spotlighting the hottest Internet startups of 2008. Tingz is software that allows you to have an incredibly easy and surprisingly consistent experience across all your digital devices, including Macs, PCs, iPhones, Blackberrys, and many other connected devices like TVs, game consoles, and smart appliances.
Tingz, Inc. was founded in April 2007 by President & CEO Patrick Hunt. Hunt has been an Internet consultant for most of the last 12 years, primarily focusing on strategy and user experience. He also served as Vice President, User Experience and Product Development for VarsityBooks.com, when the venture-backed startup had a successful IPO in 2000. For the last 8 years, Hunt has operated as Strategux Consulting. He also was a consultant at iXL and Coleman Design Group. Over the years, his clients have included AOL, Artifact Software, Capital One, CareFlow Net, Compuserve, GetWellNetwork, Highmark, Mentor Technologies, OpsPlanner, Philips Consumer Electronics, Scripps Networks, Simplexity (formerly InPhonic), Software AG (formerly webMethods), Verizon Business (formerly MCI), and a host of technology and other companies.
Life at Tingz, Inc.
Tingz is located in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee on the banks of the Tennessee River. We're a bunch of creative casual types who prefer flip flops to loafers and t-shirts to pin stripes, and we like to take advantage of our immediate surroundings, whether live music at nearby Market Square, movie premieres at the Regal Riviera on Gay Street, sushi at Nama, or a cool mojito at Sapphire. Relax, have fun, and work well on a game-changing piece of software.
