More detail: The Extraordinaries delivers micro-volunteer opportunities to mobile phones that can be done on-demand and on-the-spot, allowing people to engage and support their favorite organizations while on the go (tag satellite images, translate websites, take photos, etc.). The Extraordinaries has won several awards including a Knight Foundation Grant and an Echoing Green Fellowship, has been featured in NPR and the Washington Post, and is led by folks with management experience at Kiva.org, MySpace, eBay, and Mobile Voter. We are a for-profit company with a social mission.
