The RockTech Mission
To help the world better adopt (not just learn, but really understand) and use the rapidly expanding number of web technologies out there.
Our main product goes by the acronym TAP, which stands for Technology Adoption Platform. (We say TAP a lot.)
Through our software we allow organizations to build content for their employees or customers to teach them how to use different technologies, websites, etc. as well as give them guidelines for best practices. They can distribute content as text, images, video or audio. We're still learning how to make our platform even more engaging, but the initial feedback is already very strong.
Our team starts with a mix of people with tremendous experience in social media and other web platforms including our own "LinkedIn Jedi," Dave Gowel. Go ahead, Google for his name and that phrase, we swear it's a real thing.
We balance that out with a dev team that likes to get its hands dirty. We're a full-stack bunch, so we all write everything (maybe a little SASS one day, a little sys admin work the next).
We're backed by a number of big names include the Rockefellers (yup, those Rockefellers) who let us borrow their name. RockTech is short for Rockefeller Technology.
Together, we're a great team that loves going to happy hour and chatting on Campfire late into the night.
Life at RockTech
We currently work out of the CIC so we can mingle with other folks there and use their awesome facilities, and we're actively looking for our own space in Boston. We're a casual bunch with the work hard, play hard mentality. So if you like having deep conversations about user experience over a beer or developing new features in days, not weeks and watching our users react in realtime, RockTech is the place for you.
