The RAFT Mission
BioRAFT (www.bioraft.com) is a quickly growing company focused on building an enterprise level web-based application used in university and pharmaceutical research centers across the country. We aim to make labs safer, more efficient, and help them comply with pesky regulations. Our mission is to make safety seem sexy.
Our Products
Our product, BioRAFT, is used in universities and research centers to help researchers be safer and more efficient. We fill an untapped market, bringing solutions to help research centers keep up with the growing numbers of regulations in place by NIH, Homeland Security, FDA and more. Researchers and safety coordinators are ill-equipped to understand and comply with these regulations without a product such as ours. They potentially face fines, funding restrictions, research blocks, or even worse life threatening accidents. We pride ourselves on protecting researchers by making training and safety resources more available, and providing them with time saving tools for breezing through the boring and annoying paperwork. We aim to make researchers lives easier while keeping them safe.
Our Team
Our development team is small, but growing. We've recently obtained funding and are planning to grow our dev team from what it is now (2 overworked developers) to about 10 by the end of 2012. Get on board soon to help set our direction from the ground floor moving forward!
Life at RAFT
We are hiring to fill our brand new office in Cambridge, MA with energetic and hard working innovators. We like to have fun, and we like to work hard (we are a start up...). Our hours are pretty flexible, vacation time plentiful, and rules in general pretty lax. If you are getting your work done and helping us make a product that is awesome for our end users, we won't bug you with petty nonsense rules or red tape. Be prepared to check your ego at the door, and participate in clear-headed brainstorming sessions and arguments for the better of the product, not your own self-esteem. We are open source advocates and spend time supporting, participating in, and contributing back to the open source community.
