The Local Motors Mission

Local Motors will lead the next generation of automotive manufacturing, design, and technology in order to revolutionize the industry with game-changing efficient vehicles and an unprecedented standard of customer service.

Our Products

We are building game changing efficient vehicles with superior design. Designs are sourced from our global community of talented car designers with collaboration from engineers, builders and car enthusiasts. The idea is to not only increase the appeal, safety and efficiency of a car, but to also build a sustainable company based on a direct connection with the community and customer.

We will build cars in Local Microfactories around the US. Each factory will build a single car (to start), which is suited for the local geography and driver. This practical and sustainable diversion from super-centralized factories will benefit local economies and generate local pride in fantastic American cars.

Our Team

A diverse group of talented and enthusiastic individuals, all passionate about cars, design, crowdsourcing, social networking or a combination therein!
