GELI, short for Growing Energy Labs, Inc., develops software to integrate, network, and economically operate energy storage systems.

GELI EOS, short for Energy Operating System, is a platform to bring together energy storage, power systems (such as inverters and converters), smart grid hardware, network operations, and a partner company's cloud/on-site energy services.

GELI Energy Apps and Energy Drivers extend the EOS to additional functionality and device support. The EOS is designed to evolve over time: Energy Apps can be seamlessly invented or extended and deployed; Energy Drivers can be quickly written to support additional devices, and Energy Libraries that contain standards-based protocols can be easily updated.

The EOS is a framework for implementing energy storage and device control. It is also the logic engine that calculates and optimizes the economic value of energy from multiple value streams. Each value stream operation is incorporated into the EOS as an Energy App.
Together, the EOS and Energy Apps maximize the value of energy storage by adaptively stacking, staggering, and bundling services. S

Growing Energy Labs is lead by Dr. Ryan Wartena, CEO and Crispell Wagner, CTO. Ryan is a MIT alumnus, microbattery innovator, and former energy storage company CTO. Crispell brings over 10 years of industry experience in developing data-driven analysis applications, computational biology methods, hardware and software design, and is former CTO of a Boston-based product development company. An accomplished engineering team and seasoned technical and business advisers support GELI.
