The Audicus Mission
Audicus is an early-stage internet platform that aims to make hearing aids more affordable to the 35Mn Americans with hearing impairments.
A pair of hearing aids currently comes with the prohibitive price tag of $3,000 to $6,000 - preventing many from enjoying the quality of life that hearing gives us.
By partnering with audiologists and doctors, Audicus removes many of the costs that come with buying a hearing aid and passes savings of up to 75% directly on to the patient.
With its win/win model, Audicus is thus both a disruptive retailer of affordable hearing aids and simultaneously a powerful marketing platform for audiologists looking to attract new patients.
The team is composed of Patrick Freuler (Founder/CEO), who is on his second startup. He previously worked at Bain Capital and McKinsey, where he studied the hearing aid industry closely.
He holds two engineering degrees from MIT.
